Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My truck is idling perfectly, but when I drive and get
ready to turn, it wants to maintain speed.  I have
even seen it get up to 45 mph without me applying
the gas

Have you looked at the accelerator cable and linkage under the hood? Might not be moving freely and when you let off of the gas pedal the linkage is not returning to the normal idle position.

Everything is perfect and works right with the pedal and linkage. I am wondering if it may be the TPS, but was wanting to see what others thought
