There is something in the AC electrical system causing a problem, could be the compressor itself, the pressure switch, or even the head unit controls. Best bet is to obtain a good service manual and look for the troubleshooting section, electrical issues can be tough to resolve.

start by checking the relay, and checking the wiring harnesses for visible damage (burning, bare wires, melted connectors)

I have a 2001 Sonata and it is doing the same thing so if you figure it please let me know cause I am doing the same starting with switches and relays first. Mine cools real good for about 20 minutes and the all of a sudden the fuse blows.....?

My mechanic thinks it's the low pressure switch going to start with that one and replace it tomorrow will let you know if that solves the problem. Another mechanic seems to think it's the clutch. Since the clutch is 2 years old I'm going to try and replace the precious where its first

My IG30 fuse keeps blowing so won’t start until I replace. Would need to learn why it keeps happening

Field coil inside the AC compressor. Costs as much as the compressor. Get new compressor
