The engine mount needs to be removed for changing the timing belt. When you remove the mount lower the engine little to get access to the whole crank shaft pulley. It is a double pulling machined in one part. It can not be pulled in current location must drop engine down a bit to get it pulled off. The belt also need to go through the engine mount area. So no need to pull whole engine just the mount. Don't pull on the flange of the crankshaft pulley put the pulley puller claw behind the first pulley then pull off shaft. :) Interference ? still a question. 70-80% of cars are interference engines

It is an interference motor. You have to pull the engine to make sure the timing is set right. It's a pain in the ass I know. I had to replace the motor in my 04 and now it's down again and won't start. I just replaced the starter but it won't turn over
