In freezing cold weather my thermostat is showing
in the middle between cold and hot my car never
did this before. Do I need oil? Antifreeze? Timing
belt?

If you are getting warm or hot air in the cabin then everything is fine. The anti-freeze and oil should be checked anyway every month if it is not using either just to make sure your car lasts.
