I have a 2007 Hyundai elantra and I am having trouble starting it it clicks one time but I have power in the car my battery is brand new and I am having trouble figuring if it the starter alternatoror

Possibly starter. But not the alternator. It only charges the battery while the engine is actually running.

Ok here is another thing I noticed that when I turn the key to start the ignition the lights flicker inside the car

And when I mess with the battery terminal it flickers the lights on and off my terminal to the positive is loose could that be an issue as well
