Have a 2012 Elantra. Just mounted 4 new Cooper tires. Allignment, balance, air pressure are fine. However, once the car exceeds 60-65 mph, it begins to "drift and float". It will begin drifting in one direction (L or R), then the other. At the those speeds and above, I have to constantly compensate for this drifting and floating. Again, below 60+ mph, there are no issues. Thoughts??

It also may be the cv axles going bad. If you hear clicking when you turn the wheel L or R the bearing are busting and you need cv axle replaced.

Steering drift is a common issue with the 2011 and 2012 Elantra. Ask your dealer to inspect the CV joints, AND the toe alignment. They should be familiar with the issue.

Hi I have a 2001 hydyia elantra, it's manual and today I've had to replace the batter. my main concern is when I was driving my car it made a little noise then my car just stop moveing. the engine was still running and was fine but the car would just rev up and did not move does this mean the whole clutch is bad or maybe the clutch plate?? I have a 2003 Hyundai Elantra with 65,000 miles and i just recently found out i need a front right wheel bearing and I have 2 evap leaks. (2 codes came up). I was quoted $450 to fix both issues including a state inspection. Is this a serios issue with my car that has to be fixed right away or something i can fix over the next few weeks?
