Where is the 6 CD changer located? Is it in the dash, or in the console?

Its in-dash. Not sure the V6 Deluxe comes with the 6disc changer, I know the V6 Premium does.

i don't own one personally but i work on them all the time at the dealership and as far as i know it should be located in the dash

If you do not have the IUP (Interior Upgrade) you will not have the Shaker 500. The Shaker 500 has the capability of holding 6 CDs and can play MP3 files. If you have the Shaker 500 or 1000, here are the instructions for loading; LOAD: Press to begin the CD load sequence. When the radio prompts to select a slot, use the presets to select the desired slot to load the CD. If the selected slot already contains a CD, the display will read SLOT FULL. Press and hold to autoload up to 6 CDs. Load CDs one at a time when the radio prompts to load a CD.

The changer is located in the dash unless you have made any after market changes.
