what are the 97 blazer recalls

tranyfluid looks like motor oil and has rust on the dipstick

Hi prolub_guy! Here's a list of recalls for the 1997 Blazer ... http://www.internetautoguide.com/auto-recalls/67-int/1997/chevrolet/s10/base/index.html ... none seem to be related to your problem however. A dark brown tranny fluid usually indicates the fluid has been overheated and needs to be changed immediately. After that you should seek out the cause of the tranny fluid overheating (low level might be a contributor). Good luck!
