Asked by Stella24v Mar 09, 2023 at 06:55 PM about the 2005 Volvo S60 2.4

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 05 Volvo s60 2.4 non turbo it started out with cylinder#2 misfiring i
replaced the coil pack and all 5 spark plugs and still misfiring. so i moved
around the coil pack to see if it would change and it did not. Also compression
is good all coil pack plugs are good and getting 11.3 volts when car is off.

Slightly low on the voltage, should be around 13.1, 13.2, maybe a weak battery, might have it load tested. The miss sounds like a restriction in the injector or an internal vacuum leak. Have you tried a good injector cleaner or maybe a professional should do the cleaning.

I can do a leak down test on the injectors i have everything to do so and the Chiltons book and the battery voltage is 11.9 with car off and with it running is 13.9. Also load tested it and it was good.

Voltage is still too low. Running voltage should be between 14.2 and 14.7. So something is either pulling too much power or the alternator is not charging properly.
