i have a 1999 miata with 182717 and the engine is falling apart and is slow as crap what is a good easy swap that is reliable and affordable

A warrantied miata engine of the same generation. Or hit up a salvage yard.

With all the specifics your looking at 1000 OR SO for a used motor and prob the same in labor if you can find a reasonable mechanic. So at 2K FOR a motor job. Or you sell your pos miata for 800 VUCKS and throw it down on a 5K MIATA that runs
