Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi,

I got the car from dealer and it was working properly. Suddenly I got this message like "
Oil pressure " STOP Engine". When I checked with the dealer he is saying it may be
because of oil sensor is not working or  need to change oil pump ?

What's will the problem for this ? and how much its going to charge for that ?

Did the engine start making noise? Did you check the oil level? Did you get a warranty from the dealer? Get it checked out before you drive it. The oil sensor is cheap to replace. The oil pump isn't. It depends on where you live.

the pressure can be gauged from a oil line to see exactly is the pressure. if on during a low idle and gos off with a little more rpm, id say change oil and filter to eliminate possible restriction and use a heaver oil, It may just be normal wear from miles. if on at 1500 rpm ,look out its going to blow

"stop engine" means just that- do NOT drive it- sounds to me like the "Dealer" is just a "Crook"
