i have a 2002 vw passat my oil light comes on but i dont have anything wrong with oil pump or anything that moves the oil around through the engine what would cause this to happen

if my passat is sitting at an idle all the caution lights are not on but when im driving it and
the rpms get wound up the oil light comes on and it tell me to stop the car why is that.

Check your oil pressure sending unit. It's probably not working properly. It's easy to replace.
