Check all fuses , fusible links , relays , Make sure batt terminals are tight ,look for good motor to chassis ground , Scan for codes even if the light ain't on , check for power/ground at fuel pump before you replace it . For both of those systems to go out there must be some connection , a multi tester would be VERY useful .

This may be a security system problem. If the vehicle is equipped with a factory installed security system the PCM may have lost the fuel enable signal from the BCM. When that happens the computer will shut down the engine, even while driving. A trouble code will set in the PCM but the service engine soon light will not come on. So definitely scan the computer (PCM). Hope that helps! Jim
