put the battery on charge yet? you may have just dicharged the battery. Did you smell an acrid burning smell? you may be alright with a fresh battery.

new battery. the car would start, but it surges, throttle and pedal move a few times then it shuts off , if fuel pump, it would not start at all, just whine, like maybe air in fuel line or some sort blockage. How would air get in the fuel line, and how can I get it out. (Just smelled starter burning after too many attempts)

you must get your diagostic trouble codes read- otherwise its needle in a haystack time~ OBD codes are there, we just have to get someone to read them...you could buy your own OBD code reader for about forty bucks~

whatever if your CEL (check engine light) is on or not, we will have the intelligence to know to replace the TPS for example, would do it~

don't burn up your starter...for chrissakes, if it ain't startin' any time soon, it ain't startin' anytime later either~

let us GURU's know what your trouble codes are and we, like a pack of bloodhounds will sniff out what's wrong exactly from this location here~

One would think with a pressurized system it would have a gas leak not a sucking action with air in there going on. Unless your fuel pump is somehow pumping air into system. Also let the poor starter cool now and again. If it is a Manuel transmission pull that baby around the block and pull start it. It almost sounds like a really weak spark.

well, you could have a stopped up fuel filter, or possibly low fuel pressure through out the system, the fact that you get it started tells me that there is fuel pressure and that the battery and starter are relatively good, so next is the check engine light on or ses or whatever your car's engine trouble code light is called?

i will get a code reader, fuel pressure switch, fuel pump relay, and a fuel filter, I,ll replace these things and see if it works. Good advice everyone.
