1968 vw beetle will not shut off when you turn the key off. How do I fix it?

Start car and it runs fine, but the engine will not shut off when I turn off the key. If I get the
motor to stop, the radio stays on and runs the battery down.

Sound,s like bad igintion switch,but you may all so check for a bad ground wire to it.

we replaced the ignition switch already and still have the same problem. we will check out the ground wire.
