Fans stay on on a 2005 new Jetta 2.5

I noticed my cars fans stayed on after I shut it off
for about 5 minutes, so the next day I started the
car in cold and fans automatically started and shut
the car off and same thing fans on for about 5
minutes any answers related to this???

For some reason the problem went off I took the battery cable off for about 10 minutes or so put it back on and problem went away
