I need help

Asked by Yasmin121015 Jan 17, 2017 at 05:08 AM about the 2005 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5L

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 05 Jetta was working good but all of a sudden
whenever I go pump gas my car doesn't want to
start, I have to start the car and push the gas pedal!
And my car never did that before so I started
putting the gas treatment and it turned on like once
without me pushing the gas pedal. I'm not sure
what's the problem. Can I get help?

it's common when you try to fill the tank beyond the first release click of the gas pump handle. The fuel goes in the vent tube to the charcoal canister and clogs. If your not over filling the vapors still may be getting in. It may also be clooged or collapsed vapor hoses.
