when fuel fillup car require 6-8 try before starting

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Engine light on and after diagnostics no problem shows up.  When filling with fuel  
requires 6-8 trys before engine will start.  Have replaced filler cap and after diagnostics test with no problem found and reset will drive 30-40 miles before light come on again.  Any idea what is happening?

did you try a different gas? could be bad gas. Also try running a STP fuel treatment (or equivalent) and let your tank empty before filling it up at a different station. If that does not work it might be the fuel filter.

are you clicking the gas cap 3 times or more wnen putting cap back on.
