how do I remove the front air bag cover off the front of the steering wheel ?

Can I ask why you need to remove the air bag? It can be removed but you need to know what you're doing, other wise if you mess up the air bag itself can deploy and seriously hurt you.

Jesse is right ! take it to a mech, who has knowledge of air bag removal........ very dangerous. replacement is just the same.
