Does a 2000 ML320 need mud flaps?

I recently got pulled over and the officer said my year 2000 ML320 needed to have mud flaps. Does anyone know the truth to this?

That depends on the laws of your state. You won't win an argument with a cop unless you hire a lawyer that knows mud flap laws. Good luck with that.
