Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving down the road and the car did not want to accelerate after a
while of driving.  I had to cut the car off and let it sit for a minute.  I proceeded
to crank the car up, which it did. But I need some help figuring out what this
means and what is going on with my car.  Thanks in advance.

Esp stands for "electronic stability programme". It's a system which constantly monitors the car's stability and grip. When the system detects loss of traction in a wheel it will apply the brake on that wheel to prevent the car from spinning and crashing into a ditch. It will likely affect the traction control, the abs brakes or both. Chances are the problem lies in a faulty sensor but you should take it to a garage and have them plug a fault code reader into the car which should get you a bit closer to which sensor is at fault.

I've a c350 cdi 2013 Same issue, esp inactive and run flat indicators inactive.. went Into limp mode on the motor way. After turning off and back on cleared it but left engine management light on.. I have a mate with who's a auto electrician who plugged in it and cleared the faults but it happened again recently (happened when it got some welly overtaking) Googled it after searching through loads of threads mentioned wheel alignment sensor which to reset full lock left and right 5 times then turn off ignition and restart.. this cleared the engine management light. So all in all needed to get wheels realigned even if just slightly out as the sensor will store this and keep flashing up apparently needs a specialist computer tool to do this not your run of the mill garage set up ...solved the problem ... hope this helps
