c220 runs like a bag of spanners when cold and needs to be restarted several times to reset ecu light

when cold the car runs really bad has loud diesel knock and no power when you switch engine off and back on again it resets the computer and is alright for a few minutes then does it again untill it's warmed up

Just put your key in and wait for several seconds. Then turn the key all around and the engine should start properly. If not... Go to a dealership nearby... ;)
