2.4L Cavalier Automatic swap to Manual Transmission

I Have a 2000 z24 coupe with the 2.4l twin cam, Getfrag (F23) manual transmission
I need clearification on the possibility of taking an engine from a 2000+ cavalier with a automatic transmission and putting it in my own Cavalier with the manual transmission.
Thoughts?

Can be done,but you may have to change the ecm all so.

I to have the same problem as we speak i got my crashed 02 z24 2.4l automatic and i got sittin in front of it a manual 5spd 99 i think thats what it says on door
