Engine/trans swap/conversion

Question type: Car Customization

So I have a 1988 chevy cavalier and it's all original -
70k miles automatic and I'm just loving this car but
I'd like to do more with it. See I wanna make it fast,
also I wanna explore possibly converting it from
automatic to manual. What would be the best thing
to do? What swap would be the best/easiest
compatible for my bay? Or would it be better just to
keep the current 2.2 and overhaul with a possible
aspiration swap? Don't ask why I wanna make this
car nice I just do. And have a lot of questions on
how I would go about starting this? These being the
main things needing done, next to rims and body
mods/ things like that. Any info would be nice I have
a basic knowledge of cars and know people that
know cars but just thought I'd throw it out there.

Hi Eric! I don't think your car is worth the expense and you will have a hard time finding any performance parts for it as it has little potential.
