1998 Dodge SLT lariate diesel

Asked by GuruLYG6X Mar 27, 2019 at 01:33 PM about the 1998 Dodge RAM 3500 Laramie SLT LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was pulling a drag on a dirt road. The drag
got stuck on something and I kept trying to
pull it out. I stopped got out and look at the
situation. Ident unhooked the drag and drove
the truck around to Jack from the other side.
In doing so I noticed the required more RPM
for the gear to engage. That condition
continue to go downhill to the point that the
clutch has no effect on engaging the gears
at all. I did not smell clutch burning. Trying
to find a solution

Hard to say from your description but I think your clutch needs replacing.
