mystery stall while driving ..and idle

I was driving down highway lost power I Saw red bolt appear on my speedometer and
truck engine stalled but my  power was still on ....I turned off the truck restarted it and it
drove down the road... Turned it off and on then drove around  about  10 times no prob
then it happened again at a red light ...so I took it to a volt meter and tested the battery
was good and the charging system fine...I noticed water in my  tail lights  the reverse
lamp was filled  up.. I took the assembly apart  and saw that the light had melted the bulb
and was corroded and rusty so I cleaned anddried it out and replaced the bulbs... waiting
to see if that shorted the system....my friend said that the short in the tailight was on a
seperate system and couldnt stall the motor what is going on?

I would guess an intermittent voltage regulator. Have you checked and cleaned your main ground wires? Have you checked the fluid levels in your battery? You may have a dry cell unless you're running a maintenance free battery. If your battery is over 5 years old, it may also be time to change it out. Batteries are strange like that. My Camry was hit or miss when starting. I changed out the starter and it ran fine for about 2 weeks. Then I went to the store one day and when I came back out.....nothing....totally dead. Worked fine 15 minutes prior when I left work, but now it won't even crank over the engine. Click, click, click. Luckily, I was at Walmart so all I had to do was take my old battery out and swap it in for a new one. Did that and everything has been great now.

There is a brake switch underneith the steering column up above foot area. Replace that and good to go
