A starter was being replaced on my '01 Dodge 1500 v6 magnum truck and the mechanic shorted out the starter by touching it to metal. Now, the truck will not start. Suggestions? ? Thank you.

Check all your fuses. Main fuse or really any of them might be blown. Is it turning over but not starting? Or no sound at all when you turn the key?

Oh And might want to find another mech. He should have known to disconnect the battery before fooling with a starter.
