Waiting that long to add oil is hazardous to your engines health. The noises are not good news and may indicate that the engine is damaged. It is probably time for an engine rebuild.

You've more than likely ran it too dry and spun a rod but before check and see if it is a tapping noise and if so you probably need to add an additive to the oil to free up you lifters next place one foot on the brake and the other on the gas and see if it gets louder as you depress the gas pedal if so you've definitely spun a rod
