truck dies when backing up

Asked by Tammy Jan 19, 2016 at 12:48 PM about the 2000 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT Quad Cab LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 4x4. When it is cold
out I have to sit in it for about 20 minutes with my
foot on the gas to get it warmed and for it to idol
normal and not die on me. But once it is
completely  warm it runs fine.   But. A problem I
have all the time is. When I back up it dies all the
time.
