1999 dodge 5.2 oil pressure loss

I have a 1999 dodge ram 1500 with a 5.2L
engine and  a 5 speed manual transmission.
Once the engine is at operating temperature
the oil pressure drops to 0, i was told this is
common and  id like to know if its the oil
pump or what
