How do you know if your battery is being draining
by something in your vehicle or your battery is just
old and bad and needs to be replaced? Never had a
problem until about 1 or 2 wks. Car is turned on
and moved from parking to parking daily but is not
really used unless we take it out for a vacation trip.  
Has very low miles. Everytime we start it it takes a
while before it grabs until today it needed a jump
start. Trying to see if it's just an old battery maybe
alternator? Or could there be anything else causing
this?

Most parts stores will test your battery for free. If you're just occasionally starting the vehicle you may not run it long enough to recharge the battery, again a parts store will check your charging system as well. If the battery is over 3 years old junk it. I hope this helps, Take care.

I believe gone are the days where you can purchase a 5 or 7 year battery. Your vehicle is a 2006. When was the last time the battery was changed. There is usually a orange or yellow sticker indicating the month and year of installation on the battery. Look for it. As for something draining the battery, it is called a parasitic drain. To long to explain, but simple to do. The net should have tons of videos on the subject. All you need is a multi- meter and some time.
