05 f150 starter works when it wants to

Starter won't work from time to time it
will work fine for a week and then
won't start a day or so later it will
start and will be fine till it stops.
Starter is 6 months old battery is
good good connection at battery and
starter

It could be your starter relay. I have had cases where relay would work intermittently. It also could be a defective starter, have had that also. Best of luck to you.
