2005 Ford F-150 Driver Side Power Window Not Working

Asked by SinclairFx400 Nov 17, 2015 at 03:03 PM about the 2005 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCrew 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello, I own a 2005 Ford F-150 Super Crew Cab and the driver side power
window has just stopped working. Thankfully it is stuck in the up position. I
know that it is not the switch because all the other windows roll down with
the same switch. I also know that it is not the window regulator because I
had that replaced 3 -4 months ago on that same window. When I click the
button to roll the window down there is no response what so ever. I can
hear the switch click down but there is no reaction of the window. Anyone
else having this issue? Thanks

The switch has different parts for each window. Since you operate the drivers window more often, that part of the switch may be worn out.

you may also have a burnt fuse. I would check that first, because it would be the most simple fix if it were the case.

Remove window switch panel from door panel to get to wires wiggle and giggle the wires going to the window switch that is not working and operate switch at same time if it starts to work loose wire connection. Also test wires with a test light to make sure power is coming from and going to window motor. If there is power most likely a bad window motor or bad connection at motor.
