driver side power window not going up

Asked by bob6973 Feb 27, 2007 at 06:54 PM about the 1990 Ford F-150

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My driver side power window is not going up. When I hit the switch the voltmeter bounces back to the left and when you feel the motor it is getting warm to the touch. Any ideas?

Dear bob6973-- I don't like the fact that you feel heat coming from the motor, so I'll suggest you replace it. It isn't a difficult job if you want to do it yourself. The motor is not very expensive and you can find it online easily. To see how to do this job, go to the following site-- http://autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/0a/c7/d7/0900823d800ac7d7.jsp. Good luck from Bovan.
