Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Problem just began. While driving truck suddenly acts like
neutral and just revs when gas is pushed. I move shifter to
neutral and then back to drive which fixes it only force
minute where it happens again

I DO NOt know. it first occurred at end of a 45 minute drive and the temp was normal. it was driving as usual until the problem occcued. it happened close enough to home I was able to make it back by putting into neutral and then back to drive until it occurred again. I'm no mechanic so I have it parked now as I do not want to make it worse. but I would like a good idea of what it may be before taking it somewhere.

i've got the same problem on a 2004 F150. Gears go out and start to mesh so i flip the 4wd switch on and off and the gears re-sync. Trans is new, transfer case is new . Now what?
