Do anybod know I was riding down the highway when I had to put on break so quick my rear caliper locked up and smoking after sitting 2 hours it unlocked by it self and I hadn't had a problem with it

Someone told me if you hit the brakes real hard and sudden at those the transmission out of sequence and you have to wait for the transmission to reset itself

There is a spring mechanism on the caliber which loosens the grip on the rotor after the pedal was released. If it was smoking it was probably engaged for a while. Probably ruined the rotor. Service the brakes and check the calibers for proper function.
