I have a 2002 f150 4.2ltr the light in the cab or map lights do not go on at all... what could be the problem.thank you for your answer.

Make sure the switch in "on" then remove the bulb and check for voltage within the socket. If no voltage, remove the two screws on the dome light and let the fixture drop down. Check for voltage coming in. On many dome light fixtures, especially ones having a little switch, it is the switch which becomes defective.
