where in the transmission is the electronic pressure control solenoid?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is it under the pan, or does the trans. have to be completely removed in order to replace the (epc) solenoid?

Hello jgillson298 -- It is my understanding that the solenoids are attached to the valve body inside the transmission. These solenoids very rarely go bad, so make sure your problem isn't something else. It might be time for professional help. Here's a site that might help you- http://autorepair.about.com/library/a/1g/bl024g.htm. If you want something simple that I can guide you through in this online column why don't we try gall bladder surgery? Good luck from Bovan.
