Alternator

Asked by Skullkrusha99 Jan 01, 2019 at 07:26 PM about the 1998 Ford F-150 STD 4WD LB

Question type: General

Will an alternator make a noise that gets
progressively worse before it quits? And if so,
when battery won't hold a charge, and you only
hear a clicking sound when you turn the key, is it
the alternator?

1 Answer

If the bearings are going bad it would get louder until it completely fails.
