have a 1997 f150 that is losing or not holding oil pressure, have changed the sending unit and the pump.what is next

If you have replaced the sending unit and oil pump,i think i woudl check the oil pressure with and external oil pump tester,and not depend on the guage in the truck,it may be as simple as the guage is bad it self,if you have done, this and proved the guage is accurate,then i think you may have blockage in the oil ports in your engine.
