respond to either the driver side switch or the passenger one, but every now and then it

Either the motor is bad in the door or there is a loose connection from the drivers side door to the passenger side. Power passes through the drivers side door to the other doors.

Obtain a volt meter. Remove the passenger side inside door panel. Locate the button that controls the window. Check there, you should have 12 volts. If you have voltage, check you have voltage coming from that switch to the motor inside the door. If you have no voltage when the button is pressed, the switch is bad if you have voltage coming into the switch. If you have voltage going to the window motor, then the motor is bad.

My question concerns the power window motor on my 2002 Ford F150. The window would not operate from either the driver side switch or the passenger side switch. I purchased a new motor as I figured this was the source of my problem. (The driver side window works just fine.) My problem is this: before I did anything with the new motor I removed the old motor from the regulator and reconnected it to the power source. I depressed the switch (ignition in the on position) and the motor ran BUT only in the “down” function. I then connected the new (good) motor and with the same results; works only in "down” function. My question is: why do both the old motor and the new one function the same? Does the motor gear need the weight of the window “pushing” down in order for the “up” function to work? 1 Answer

i have a 92 ford F-150 iam having trouble with the back tank ok it leaked so i had it replaced recently along with side tank but the problem is the the side works fine but the back will work for about i say 20 min then it acts like it starvin for gas shakes the truck then dies but if u catch it b4 it dies like switch to side tank it will comm out of it think it may b just a fuel filter it looks a little wet like getting too much gas iam at a loss suggestions? 1 Answer
