95 f150 with 4.9 6 cyl always ran cold, temp gauge barely moves

I recently flushed system new coolant, new thermostat@192 degree.
Now it runs at operating temp, gauge sits between no of normal on
gauge. Problem is it now "pings" when underload like going up steep
grade with ac on! Gauge stays normal no overhesting, just pinging!!!!

Try a new EGR valve. Heard that will cause the ping sound.

Thanks! I checked timing its ok. Did a complete tuneup. How would I check knock sensor? That is if i can find it!
