Same with any no start , check for proper spark , fuel pressure , injector pulse , timing . A sensor or something else may have gone bad by pure coincidence .

If you had to remove the distributor for the repairs your ignition timing might be off. Bring the number one cylinder to top dead center and remove the distributor cap. The rotor should be pointing at the number one spark plug tower. If it's not, your ignition timing is off. Also, check your compression. If all cylinders test very low or zero the valve timing is off too. Hope that helps! Jim

So if you had broken pistons and didn’t have the block checked you just created more work. You can’t just slap in new pistons and expect it to run, you should have took the engine out, disassembled it had the block and cylinder head check and maybe the head milled then have the crankshaft at least polished if the machine shop says it was good then get the bearings and put in the new pistons that the machine shop recommended along everything else like seals, gaskets, etc.
