I have a 2001 f250 with a 5.4 triton and my fuel gauge, when turned on, goes straight to F and doesn't change. Any ideas on what it is or how to fix it?

Either there's a short in the Fuel Pump Module (Sending Unit) or in the wiring. An open circuit will cause it to show empty.
