2001 f250 5.4 as of tonight it started cutting out or to me
acting like fuel starvation under load. This gets worse in just
minutes, but if I shut off the ignition and restart immediately it
has full power for a few minutes but returns to original
symptoms. I felt it is a fuel pump or filter issue, but it seems to
reset temporally after restaring

Check the fuel pump module for clam shelling.

Sorry it's located above spare tire on box cross brace.

A common problem with the Triton engines is bad coils. They are easy to replace if the trouble codes indicate which one is bad. Is the CEL on?
