My 2003Mercedes-Benz s500 air suspension not working and I'm getting a defective display message.

It's time for a visit to your local Friendly Mercedes Benz dealer. It's could be anything from a fuse to a pump. Only Mercedes can pull the codes.

Fuse 32 in the right fuse box under the hood powers the pump circuit.

I would start with checking the fuse and relay which I listed above. If they both check out ok I would move on to the air pump.
