ASR and. ABS lights sty on Mercedes 1994. S500

Asked by Almansoor Nov 20, 2014 at 02:18 AM about the 1994 Mercedes-Benz S-Class S 500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

In my Mercedes S500 model 1994, ASR and ABS  lights stay on after starting the engine,
and steering wheel gets heavy and cruse control does not work.By turing the steering
wheel fully to the right and to the left, then turning off the engine and then start it again,
both ASR and ABS lights go off, steering wheel is fine and the cruse control works. But i
get little vibration when the car in neutral . That happens approximately every 4 days.
WHY? Why all that happen in the first place? What do i need to change?

I am a bit surprised that your car runs with ASR lights on let alone your cruise control, if your brake pads and discs are good, the ABS sensor is intact then change your ASR cables. Strongly suggest to have it analyzed.
