Bent engine Cover

Asked by chai Apr 20, 2008 at 09:21 PM about the 1994 Mercedes-Benz S-Class S 320

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I am interested in buying this car.  The only problem is that the engine cover which is a piece of plastic is bent and opened up.  What could be the potential problem or the engine cover is there just for cosmetic reason and would not affect the performance of the car?
Many Thank.

Not a problem, although I would question how it got bent -- incompetent mechanic? Some kind of accident?
