My 2004 Chevy Blazer won’t switch to 4lo or 4hi

When I push the button to switch into
4wd, the button will blink for an
extremely long time and then just
switch back to 2. I asked a friend to
check what was under the hood and
he said everything checked out, I’m
thinking it’s an electrical issue. I
would like to just buy a piece and
replace it myself. Any thoughts?

can reset the ecu, disconnect the battery for ten minutes, then reconnect. must be in neutral to engage 4 low.
