2004 chevy blazer v-6 4 door.

I have a 2004 chevy blazer with a v-6.its a 4
door.my fuel pump is not turning on at all.i put my
hand on the pump while a buddy turned it over and
for sure its not coming on.i took a rag and lut a lil
gas on it and wrapped it around my breather and it
started right up.i was told there is a fuel pump
safety switch that turns the power off to the fuel
pump.any help to figure this out?
